Whether you love them or hate them calories are there.
I’ve been told numerous times during my fitness and wellness journey to not count calories, and I always want to know why?
To me, it’s like saying don’t worry if you max your credit card, you can just keep adding, nbd.
Calories are simple. If you burn more than what you eat, after you burn an excess of 3,500 calories you will loose one pound. If you eat an extra 3,500 calories that you don’t burn, and your body stores you gain weight.
I’ve always just eaten what I wanted, and then when I “worked out” and didn’t get the results I wanted, I blamed it on the workouts. Workouts are a great supplement and the endorphins you gain are even more of a reason to maintain this healthy habit, but food is always your #1 tool in your pocket.
My cardiologist always said that the best exercise was pushing yourself away from the table!
Here’s 3 simple changes you can do to cut down on portions:
1. Drink more water.
2. If you are having a snack, count out the chips or crackers, etc. You’ll be amazed at the actual serving size.
3. Use your watch to keep track of calories burned and pair with a food logging app. Like my fitness. Whatever your watch says you burned, don’t eat more than that number. I’m on day 1103 of logging as of today.
Stay Pampered!
*Everyone is different and depending on your health and past your doctor might recommend different things to you. This is no way medical advice. Always consult your doctor before doing drastic changes and eat a balanced well rounded diet.
This is helpful! I’m trying to keep track of my health but also, like you, I just eat what I want! Thanks for sharing your tips! ❤️

Yeah! I still eat what I want too, I listen to my body and if I want a cookie, I just have 1. In the past I might have had 2 or 3 😅
